LEADERSHIP’S FUNDRAISER:  Come down to the North foyer at lunch this Wednesday and Thursday to support intro Leadership’s fundraiser for Tri-City Transitions, a women’s and children’s shelter!               Ms. Byrne

Vikings Read: Attention Vikings: it’s that time of year again….Time to vote for your favourite Vikings Read title for this year. Voting opened on Monday, May  21st and close on Sunday, May 27th. The winning book will be announced at the Vikings Read celebration in the library at lunch on Wednesday, May 30th. You can vote by clicking the link you’ll find on the Library Learning Commons site, scanning the QR code that will be on the wall outside the library, or going to the link that will be published in Monday’s student bulletin. The first 50 voters get a prize.

ENCOUNTERS WITH CANADA:  is now taking registrations for the 2018-2019 school year.  This is a great way to travel across the country and learn about our political and economic systems while meeting peers from across Canada.  Placements may fill up fast, so act quickly if you want to take advantage of this opportunity.  See Mr. Ashfield for an access code or if you need more information.​


Sewell’s Marina Field Trip: International students, do you want to go visit the Sewell’s marina, see the ocean, wildlife and go on a boat through the Gulf Islands? Come and sign up for the Sewell’s Marina field trip. The deadline for money and completed forms is May 30th, we have only 5 spaces available for North students. Come and get a form from Mr. Archibald (room 116) or Ms. Teng-Davis (room 309).

Grade 12 Students – Pronunciation of Names at the School Leaving Ceremony:  Any Grade 12 student who would like to ensure their name is pronounced correctly at the School Leaving Ceremony on May 24 should go to see the following staff members.  If your surname falls between A through Li, please go see Mrs. Hardjowasito in Room 18. If your surname falls between Lieu and Z, please go see Ms. M. Smith in Student Services.

The Gold Chord recipient list is now posted outside the Office. Please check it out and report any discrepancies to the Office no later than TODAY, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at NOON”

Fee Deadline for Dinner Dance and Dry After Grad is Thursday, May 31.  Cash On Line now accepts VISA and Mastercard. If you pay On Line bring a printed copy of your receipt to pick up your tickets.

The bus passes you received in your package are valid from May 15 to June 30, 2018 and you MUST show your GO CARD when using it.

DRY GRAD:  Hey Grads!  Make sure to buy your Dry Grad tickets ASAP!  (either On-line or in Room 114)  We will be going on a cruise from 12:30 – 3:30 am after Prom, transportation will be provided there.  There will be games, prizes and lots of other fun stuff!  More details can be found on the Posters around the school!  See you there!                                                                                                   Mr. Sokugawa
