The evening of Thursday, September 21 we invite students and their caregivers to visit the school from 6:30-8:00pm.
This is an informal event where you can drop in to tour the school, get to know the spaces that your child(ren) experience every day, and connect with some teachers*. Students will join their families on the evening so they can share their personal tours and viewpoints of the school.
2023-2024 Walkabout Schedule
- Open Classrooms/Walk Around: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
- This year’s students will walk their parents to their classes and introduce them to their teachers* and classroom spaces.
- Closing: Parents meet in the GALLERY: 7:35pm – 8:00pm
- Parents have an opportunity to attend the Principal’s Question and Answer Session.
*If you wish to speak to a specific teacher about your child’s learning, please contact them directly to arrange a meeting at another time. As it is early in the school year and so many parents attend, we cannot discuss individual learning needs or progress at this event. Thank-you for your understanding.
Our formal Student Growth Conferences (formerly Parent/Teacher Interviews) are scheduled for Thursday, November 9th.
NOTE: Not all teachers may be in attendance; the evening is a voluntary service and conflicts with many other events (like parent nights at other schools).
Many teachers who are not present often leave information on their classroom door about courses and how best to contact them or may send information home in advance.
