COURSE CORRECTION REQUESTS–Fixing Errors Only
Grade 9-12 students requesting a correction must complete the online form. Counsellors will contact you with changes or if they need more information. The form will open Sept. 7 and close Sept. 10.
Grade 8 students with timetable errors must go to Student Services on Tuesday, September 7th to see their counsellor.
Counsellors will be seeing ONLY grade 8 students September 7th. Corrections will be made if grade 8 students are
- Missing a course
- Registered is an incorrect course (e.g. in English 10 but need English 8)
It is best to go to visit early in the day (before your Block 1 orientation class) to give counsellors the most time to make corrections for Tuesday.
Grade 9-12 Students
Complete the online form to request a course correction. Counsellors will not begin processing requests or seeing grade 9-12 students until all Grade 8 corrections have been completed.
Grade 9-12 students must follow the Course Correction process outlined below:
The school will not accommodate course changes for the following reasons:
- Having a class in a different period / semester
- Having a different teacher
- Being in a different class to be with different people (e.g. friends)
Counsellors will work with students about their schedule according to this priority:
- Students with incomplete schedules
- Students who failed or did not complete summer-school / online course
- Student who didn’t receive their requested / alternate elective
- Deadline for course request change or correction for Sem 1 is Friday, Sept 10
NOTE: Correcting errors in your timetable may result in other block/teacher/course changes to your schedule as well. We will make every effort to disrupt your schedule as little as possible, but some changes are unavoidable.
All timetable changes MUST be processed by your counsellor. Please do not approach course teachers with requests and inquiries.
The information below does NOT apply to the 2021-2022 school year.
What if your timetable is ‘correct’ but you don’t like it? COURSE CHANGE FORMS will be available online at 3:00pm on Friday, September 6th. Counsellors will begin processing course change requests on September 9th. NOTE: Not all change requests can be accommodated, so continue to attend your assigned courses and do the work so you don’t fall behind in case your request is denied. If your new timetable is approved, your new course teacher(s) will inform you what make-up work they will require.

Fill out the form I’m scheduled in the wrong grade/level of a course!: There is an ERROR in your placement, for example: you should be in English 10 but the timetable says English 9. Fill out the form NOTE: You MAY NOT request Honours/Enriched/AP classes using this form. If you believe you should be in an Honours/Enriched/AP class that you requested last spring, contact Ms Mihic AFTER September 8th.
I’m scheduled in the same course TWICE. Fill out the form
