GENERAL
Daily Health Check: Have you done your daily health check?
CLUB’S DAY INFORMATION: Hello North Students! The Student Government is very excited to prepare for this year’s Club’s Day at Burnaby North! Club’s day will be held on October 5th, and we will update you on our Instagram @burnabynorthvikings regarding the location. FOR ALL STUDENTS WHO IS AN EXECUTIVE OF A CLUB, please see below the deadlines for registering your club and securing a table on club’s day:
-September 20th to September 22nd: Submit a physical copy of the student club proposal form, which can be found on Burnaby North’s website under the Student tab named “Clubs”, and hand it into the office OR room 211. Please submit this physical copy AND the online google form. The link to the google form is https://forms.gle/bCg6yGFZupJH13E37
-September 22nd: A sign-up sheet will be posted outside of Mr. Sokugawa’s room (room 211) for banner making during the last week of September. This will secure your club a table as well.
-September 26th – September 30th: Banner making will take place, location and date TBD.

SCHOOL PHOTOS: Don’t forget that Artona will be here on Monday, September 26th for school photos. School photos are needed for student and staff IDs. Retakes (Wednesday, November 2nd) will only be taken for staff or students who have missed the original day or if a student has spoken with Ms. Nicolidakis first.
Drama: The first rehearsal for Shrek will be TODAY, Tuesday Sept 20th in the Drama room.
SPORTS
Intro to Ultimate Session: Any students interest in trying out Ultimate (frisbee) at North this spring are invited to an introductory session on Friday September 23rd at 3:15 on the turf field. Players will learn a variety of throws and will get to try out the sport in a fun and supportive environment. Returning players are also encouraged to attend in order to help coach new participants. All grades welcome!
Volleyball Intramurals: One of the best ways to start a new school year is to join the Volleyball Tournament. Create your team and compete against other students in a fun 6 vs 6 volleyball tournament. All the games are played in the North Gym at lunch. Great prizes to be won. Team forms need to be submitted by Sep. 20th to Sports Center. Goodluck to all the teams.
Cross-Country Team: Practice is set for Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday at 3:15 by Oval Track. This weeks practice is Wednesday. If you are thinking of joining the Cross-Country Team – NOW IS THE TIME to DO SO! Any questions- Room #19 Mr Seehagen. PS- Also looking for a Team Manager or Two.
Volunteers/Work Experience
We have an excellent opportunity for students interested in the Fashion Industry. See Mr. Carey.

Project STAT: Are you someone who wants to work towards supporting a community where the people are well provided for, while promoting larger issues? Project S.T.A.T. is the perfect opportunity! Exec applications are open from Sept 7th-21st. Pick up a form from outside Room 202 or check out our Instagram: @bnssprojectstat.
GRADS
GRADE 12 GROUP PHOTO: Grade 12 group photo will be on Thursday, September 22nd at 11:30. We ask that Grade 12 students be let out of class by 11:25 to make their way to the courtyard. If you teach a split class, please check your class list for any grade 12 students.
