Please note: Burnaby North does not offer AP exams to self-studying or out-of-district students.

Paying for Exams

Now that the school has returned to a linear system, AP registration and payment for all exams are due by November 1, 2023. Late payments or registrations will not be accepted

Students registered in AP classes and intend on taking AP exams must register for exams on https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/ and pay for them either through https://burnaby.schoolcashonline.com/ or with Ms. Goss in the office. There will also be no refunds this year as per Burnaby District AP policy. Again, late payments or registrations will not be accepted.

Only students registered in those classes have the right to write those exams at this school. We DO NOT offer exam spots to self-studying or external students. Lastly, students must be enrolled in the associated class to take an AP exam*. If you paid for an exam earlier but then dropped the class, you will not have an exam ordered for you and will be issued a refund.

*Students in English Literature & Composition 12 have the option to register for the English Language & Composition exam in addition to, but not instead of, the Literature exam.

2024 AP Exam Schedule

All AP exams offered at Burnaby North will be written in person, on pen and paper. The times below account for exam for administrative preparation. Exam rooms will be communicated at a later time.

Please note:

  • * Students who have an exam conflict (where 2 exams are happening at the same time) will be rescheduled for late testing for one of those exams
  • Students are expected to arrive a 45 minutes before each exam for administrative preparation.
  • April 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. ET (7:59 p.m. PST)is the deadline for:
    • AP Seminar and AP Research students to submit performance tasks as final and their presentations to be scored by their AP Seminar or AP Research teachers.
    • AP Computer Science Principles students to submit their Create performance task as final.
  • May 10, 2024 at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PST) is the deadline for:

      • AP Art and Design submissions will ALL be through the Digital profile this year.

Late Testing

Occasionally, circumstances make it necessary for students to test late. To preserve the security of AP Exams, alternate forms are used for late testing. All students who participate in late testing at a given school must take these alternate exams on the scheduled late-testing dates at the scheduled times. We only allow for late testing when there is an exam conflict or in specific circumstances. Please check with Ms. Mihic well ahead of exam time to see if this applies to you.
