The District Student Advisory Council (DSAC) is an organization that serves as the collective voice of all Burnaby high school students, with representatives at all Burnaby Secondary Schools. Every year with support from the Burnaby School Board, DSAC hosts an event in the community where all proceeds go to a local charity. This year, DSAC is organizing Burnaby’s Got Talent where students from each high school compete and showcase their talent to the members of the community.
Burnaby’s Got Talent will be taking place on April 16th, 2019 at Michael J. Fox Theatre and the proceeds will be going to the Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver. This non-profit organization advocates for women, girls and children who have been impacted by the justice system. They hope to empower women and youth through their many diverse programs.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online at https://burnaby.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Index . Tickets are sold at $5 each online and within individual schools. Please note that prices will double at the door, if they are still available. Attendees can look forward to a diverse showcase of talent that is complimented by a silent auction and concession where proceeds also go towards supporting the charity.
