“An Evening with BYSN” is a free, virtual event open to all students, families, and staff in the Burnaby School District. With three special guest speakers, we will discuss what sustainability means, hear how leaders in sustainability are involved in the field, and learn how we can improve upon sustainability in our communities.
- On April 21st, Maria Fadiman of National Geographic and Florida Atlantic University will talk about human interaction with Earth through plants.
- On April 28th, Mary Hotomanie will speak about sustainability from an Indigenous perspective.
- On May 5th our very own BYSN members will teach us about sustainable diet with topics such as animal agriculture, Indigenous diets, bugs for food and much more!
All workshops will be taking place from 5:30 pm to 6:30 PST.
