Assessment Week–June 13-16, 2022

Welcome to Assessment Week!

Grade 10 & 12 students will write their remaining Provincial Assessments from June 13-16, 2022.

In order to lessen disruptions for students writing the Provincial Literacy Assessments, the timetable for the week has been adjusted.  Each day will have only TWO BLOCKS, so the rotation is different than usual.  Please check the details below carefully, especially if you will be missing a class due to an assessment or appointment (i.e. the class you ‘think’ you’ll be missing will have changed).

Assessment Schedules

The schedules & room assignments are posted outside the office in the North Building.  Students can also check with their block 5 teachers and block 7 teachers for the schedule information.

Students are permitted THREE HOURS to complete their assessments.  Students who finish their assessment early should follow the directions of their assessment monitor.

AM Exams:  Scheduled students must be at their assigned lab by 8:40 AM (start of FLEX).  Assessments will begin at 8:50 AM and will end at lunch.  Students who finish their assessment before the permitted time should return to their scheduled class (unless their class is writing together in the same lab, in which case their teacher will provide them with direction).

PM Exams:  Scheduled students must be at their assigned lab by 12:36 PM (start of PM classes).  Assessments will begin at 12:45 PM. NOTE:  Students writing afternoon exams might not complete their assessment until the end of the permitted time at 3:45 PM.  Students should adjust their after school activities accordingly.  Students who finish their assessment before 3 PM should return to their scheduled class (unless their class is writing together in the same lab, in which case their teacher will provide them with direction); after 3 PM, students will be dismissed directly from the assessment site.
