Updated January 2023
Counsellors offer a variety of supports for our students at Burnaby North. Students are assigned a counsellor based on their last names. We provide counselling services for academic concerns, personal issues, and career exploration. We look forward to opportunities to meet and support the members of our school community. Students and parents are welcome and encouraged to make appointments to see the appropriate counsellor in Student Services.
Making an appointment to see your counsellor or advisor:
Unless you have an emergent concern, we prefer that you do not come to student services to see your counsellor or advisor without an appointment.
If you would like to make an in-person appointment, you can fill out one of the colorful Appointment Request Slips outside student service.
Your counsellor will contact you either in-class, or by email, to arrange an appointment time, so please make sure you’re checking your school Outlook email regularly! We will respond to your request ASAP, but please be advised that during busy times, it may take a day or two to get back to you.
