Graduation Photos

    • Grad group photo Sept 11, 2025–Listen to the PA to be called down.

     

  • Portrait sessions must be scheduled directly with Artona.
    • Individual Grad Photos are available for North Grads from October 20-27, 2025
    • Group Sessions are available for North Grads from Oct 28, 2025-Mar 15, 2026
    • Only photos submitted for the yearbook by Dec. 14, 2025 will be considered for publication.
    • Deadline to be in the school composite is March 1, 2026

All grade 12 students are welcome to submit their own message to appear next to their photo in the yearbook. Maximum 100 characters.  Submit your write-up via the Microsoft Form in the Grade 12 Team.

Additionally, graduates can submit a baby photo to be included in the Grad section of the Yearbook. Submit your write-up via the Microsoft Form in the Grade 12 Team.


Grade 12 Diploma Verification Records–Early Fall

In September/October the counsellors review Diploma Verification Records for all grade 12 students.  These forms verify that students are taking the classes they need to fulfill their graduation requirements.  Students who are missing credits may need to change their courses to ensure they can graduate this year. Counsellors will attempt to contact student who have missing credits for graduation and notify the parents or guardians of these students.

Grad Winter Gala–GRAD CRUISE February 26, 2026

Our Winter Formal/Grad Cruise tickets have sold out. Grads can visit Mr. Sokugawa in room 3080 to be put on a waitlist.

    • March 5th– March 13th successful students produce a video
    • March 30th  – April 2nd  Students vote
    • April 3rd  – winner announced
    • April 6th– April 24th Valedictorian creates outline & first draft

    • April 27th– May 14th Rewrites/Practice Sheet
    • May 14th– Final Draft Due
    • May 24th– Grad Leaving Ceremony!!!

Grad Day: Thursday, May 14, 2026

      • ICBC Presentation (Gym) – 9:15 am 10:15 am
      • Grad Rehearsal & Grad Gown Pick Up (Gym) – 10:30 am -11:51 am
      • RCMP Choose Your Ride Display (Main Driveway) 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
      • Grad Bowling (Rev’s) 12:45 pm – 3:00 pm

School Leaving Ceremony: Sunday, May 24, 2026 at SFU

When: 6:30-8:30

Where: SFU, Convocation Mall, Burnaby, BC V5A 0A9

Details & Ticket Info:

    • Each student will be given two free tickets. Each student can also purchase an additional number (determined mathematically once we have our numbers) of tickets from the office for $5.00 per ticket on May 14th. Please note that there are a limited number of tickets for sale (due to seating capacity). On May 21st, we will open up sale of tickets to any student for any amount until sold out
    • Families will be able to park for free in the North parking lot at SFU.
    • Please Note: Grads should not bring any belongings with them as there is no place to store them. Grads should wear comfortable shoes and dress warmly as this is an outdoor venue.

Graduation Dinner/Dance Details: Friday, June 12, 2026

When: 6pm-11pm (students must enter the event by 6:30pm)

Where: The Westin Bayshore, 1601 BAYSHORE DRIVE, VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA, V6G 2V4

Details:

    • Cost $140 – Please pay through School Cash Online. A ticket is required to attend. Tickets are available until June 12th.
    • This is a formal event where grade 12 students will have dinner and a dance at a downtown hotel and sometimes called a “prom.”
    • Students will be admitted into the Dinner and Dance from 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm (no late entries).
    • Students are welcome to take pictures with family and friends before 6:00 pm at the Westin Bayshore.

Dry After Grad: Friday, June 12-13 2026

Grads will enjoy a night of fun, food, prizes, games and entertainment after the Dinner/Dance. There will be transportation provided from Westin Bayshore to the Dry Grad event.  Students attending the Dinner/Dance must take the bus provided to the event.

NOTE:  This is a separate ticketed event.  Tickets at $60 via SchoolCashOnline

Location: ScotiaBarn (STUDENTS ATTENDING THE DINNER DANCE MUST TAKE THE BUS TO SCOTIABARN!!)

Details:

    • Dry Grad is an optional event to celebrate! Buses are arranged to transport the grads grads who are attending from the Dinner/Dance immediately after its end to the venue. Only grads who have registered and signed the Acknowledgement & Waiver may attend.
    • Grads will arrive at the the event at approximately 11pm, and sign-in at the desk.
    • No alcohol, drugs, smoking and/or vaping is permitted. Grads will be checked for such items.
    • The event includes variety of activities, and some grads may wish to have a change of clothes. They can change at either at the Dinner/Dance (before boarding the bus) or at the event after arrival.
    • Attendees will receive a grad 2026 swag bag and chance to win prizes.
    • Activities include a Casino, Arcade, a 360 Selfie Photo-booth, Tattoo Artist, Tarot Card Booth, Caricature Artist, DJ selection of music, Food, Ice Skating and Soccer. Also there are also inflatables such as the Wipeout Eliminator, Axe Throwing, Hamster Race and Soccer. Or they may wish a quiet place to just enjoy!
    • Parent Volunteers: The event needs the help of parent volunteers to help decorate, supervise, monitor stations and help clean-up.
